Brackett, of North Adams, was charged late Friday with five counts of animal cruelty, five counts of malicious killing of an animal, one count of breaking and entering at night, and one count of malicious destruction of property, said Sgt. Roy Sutton of the MSPCA law enforcement department.

Brackett remained in police custody and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, according to North Adams Police.

Gruesome surveillance tape of the event, captured at Berkshire County Construction on Tuesday night, showed a man who apparently went into a rage after being unable to break into a truck. The man was shown kicking and dismembering the rabbits, and the surveillance tapes drew wide calls of outrage after the images were widely circulated over the Internet.

The bodies of the rabbits were found strewn about the property including a baby bunny and a severely mutilated rabbit left hanging by a chain after its ears and tail had been cut off.

Sutton said several people stepped forward to identify Brackett as the man in the surveillance tapes. After he was taken into custody by the North Adams Police, officials searched his home and found undislosed evidence linking him to the crime, said Sutton.

"We have thoroughly reviewed surveillance footage of the crime scene, examined the scene and bodies of the animals, secured a necropsy of one of the rabbits, enlisted the assistance of a state police tracking dog, and carefully interviewed numerous witnesses and the suspect," Sutton said.

"Regrettably, the savagery repeatedly inflicted upon the helpless rabbits exceeds any brutality I've seen in quite a while," said Peter Gollub, director of the MSPCA's Law Enforcement department. "These animals posed no threat to the suspect, and in fact some rabbits even curiously approached him. How anyone could systematically and completely ignore the suffering of these unsuspecting creatures dumbfounds me as much as it angers me. I am not surprised to hear that substantial concerns exist about this suspect's past and future encounters with humans and animals alike."

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://todaysrat.blogspot.com/2010/06/wayne-c-brackett-of-north-adams-ma.html' title='Wayne C. Barber of Bennington is charged with third-degree grand larceny after a two-month investigation, investigators said.

They said the probe began after they learned Barber may have overcharged the unidentified resident, who deputies described as elderly, for his services. At the expense of the Cities reputation?

"It's 2010," said one woman. "It doesn't really matter."

TODAYSRAT: It doesn;t matter why? because Saratoga Already Jumped the shark?

MARE says the group is in town as part of the "Wildest Bars in the US" tour, criss-crossing the country in the hottest cities and getting video of the best clubs. Organizers were quick to point out that this was about the club, not the controversy associated with Girls Gone Wild.

Fred Sharifipour of MARE told News 10 off camera," It's not the girls flashing people from 10 years ago. It's a brand. They're not bringing girls, they're not bringing lewd acts, and I wouldn't stand for it either."

TODAYSRAT: Really? then why is EVERY Girls Gone Wild commercial on TV consist of young girls acting lewdly in public?? I think we know what the brand is

The bar also said Saratoga was lucky to get them to come, but not everyone agreed.

"I think it takes away from the type of community that Saratoga is," Linda Ambrosino said. She owns G. Willikers, a toy store on Broadway. Abrosino said she only found out about the party a few hours before it started. She said she would have opposed it had the known sooner.

"I don't think it's the type of image that we as a business community would like to portray," Ambrosino said.

Some also questioned why the party was in Saratoga.

"I don't personally approve of it," said a female Skidmore freshman, "but people can do whatever they personally want to do.

Organizers said it was only about putting a quiet town on the map and showing people a good time. Other entertainment scheduled to be at MARE in the next couple of months include a member of MTV's Jersey Shore, DJ Scribble, Kevin Rudolf, and Kim Kardashian.

TODAYSTRAT: Saratoga is hardly a "quiet town" Keep your Jersey Shore & Slutty porn star/ reality show socialites like Kim Kardashian back in Vegas where they belong..

Gregory Joseph Leary Child RAPIST SCUM...

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/S7c368PqPvI/AAAAAAAAAHs/zf21tqHpTLQ/s320/GJLEARY.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455890959326396146" />
scumbags.......

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS/AP) Police have arrested Gregory Joseph Leary on charges that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl. The 15-year-old is herself accused of selling her 7-year-old stepsister to a group of men who gang raped her.

Leary was booked Wednesday night on charges of statutory rape and endangering the welfare of a child. Under New Jersey law, the 15-year-old is too young to consent to sex.

Leary was being held Thursday in jail on a $200,000 cash bond.

Police said they are investigating whether Leary was involved with the rape of the 7-year-old at a party Sunday night in a public housing apartment building.

On Thursday morning, police arrested 27 people on unrelated outstanding warrants during a sweep of Rowan Towers. Capt. Joseph Juniak said the raid was planned before the girl's attack but that it was "somewhat beneficial for investigators" looking into the child rape.

Police believe as many as a dozen people were at the party and said that everyone in the apartment when the rape occurred could be legally culpable.

At the party, the 15-year-old starting having sex with several men for money and then gave the younger girl some cash to let a group of men touch her, police said. It soon escalated to rape and the men threatened to kill the child if she screamed or told anyone, according to police.

Police are reviewing surveillance videos at the complex.

According to police, the teenager and the 7-year-old were outside in the neighborhood Sunday when the older girl ran into two young men she knew who invited her to the party. The 7-year-old wanted to tag along because she was worried about the older girl's safety.

The 7-year-old later put on her clothes and left the apartment; her older sister stayed. Two women found the child crying outside the apartment and walked her home.

The teenager's name was not released because of her age, but the county prosecutor plans to ask the court to try her as an adult. It was not clear who was representing the girl in juvenile court.

Senator Jim Bunning Hall Of Fame Shithead

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 179px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/S7c1mQfUdyI/AAAAAAAAAHk/1MkmvsvqpeY/s320/bunning.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5455888404960278306" />

CATCHING UP ON SOME OLD RATS

Updated below: The Senate has now recessed for the weekend without taking action.

Jim Bunning, a Republican from Kentucky, is single-handedly blocking Senate action needed to prevent an estimated 1.2 million American workers from prematurely losing their unemployment benefits next month.
As Democratic senators asked again and again for unanimous consent for a vote on a 30-day extension Thursday night, Bunning refused to go along.
And when Sen. He said the Schenectady man, who is married, has 10 prior convictions for a variety of offenses, including unlawful imprisonment, menacing and several charges of harassment.

Comment on this story in the Crime Confidential blog.

Police learned of the alleged abuse after responding to a domestic dispute call Monday at the Hendricks home at 122 Front St. in the city's Stockade area.

Police say the first dog was killed sometime during the second week of December after Hendricks apparently became upset after a female long-haired dachshund named Beary urinated in the house.

He is accused of drowning the animal in a bathtub by holding her nose and mouth under water and then "squeezing" the animal to death.

A second animal, a female toy poodle named Carmella, was badly burned on her legs and backside on Jan. 12 when Hendricks allegedly held her under scalding hot water. "Because of her, I know how to use a credit card to open locked doors."

Prosecutors said the girl was forced to help her mother, Tara Morelli, 31, and her boyfriend, Gregory Frank, 41, during daytime burglaries between September 2008 and January 2009 in various Rensselaer County towns. Both Morelli and Frank pleaded guilty to attempted burglary and criminal possession of stolen property, and were sentenced Friday before Judge Andrew Ceresia.

Assistant District Attorney Keith Muse read the statement from the girl, who was not present in court. Her name is being withheld because of her age and because she is considered a victim.

The girl explained that her mothers drug habits severely affected their relationship and led to the crimes."I would spend three to five days wearing the same clothes, I could not go to school and she did not keep me clean," the girl wrote.

While the statement was read, Morelli repeatedly shook her head in disagreement and at one point tried to interrupt.

"I now have a nice new home and I don't have lice anymore," the girls statement said. "Please tell the people I am sorry for what I did. Tell my mom that I will never forgive her. Telling the truth is one thing that I did not learn from my mother."

Morelli said the statement was coached by her daughters caretaker, and claimed the girl was never used in the crimes.

"The statement was not given by my daughter," Morelli said. "Something was done to her to come up with these lies."

Prosecutors said the girl cooperated in the investigation.

Morelli apologized for her crimes. "I am truly sorry for my daughter and not being the mother I could have been. Drugs took me away from her."

The child's words were read at Frank's sentencing as well, prompting him to complain that the statement had nothing to do with him.

"She did not mention my name in that once," Frank said. "It has nothing to do with me."

Morelli and Frank were each sentenced to 5 1/2 years in prison, five years' post-release supervision and ordered to pay $6,299 in restitution to the victims.

The couple were originally indicted with 23 offenses, including burglary, possession of stolen property and child endangerment.

Court documents say police found a stash of stolen property at the couple's Telford Road home in Hoosick. The records say they targeted homes during the day when the occupants were away at work.

Michael Fuschino- career stalker

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 180px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/S2B3gMSN6yI/AAAAAAAAAHI/KpIsIjt5o68/s200/LVB_FUSCHINO_01_.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5431472545545972514" />

this guy is a piece of garbage....

Man gets probation for telephone harassment
Judge says he struggled to arrive at sentence appropriate for case

BALLSTON SPA -- Calling it a difficult decision, a judge sentenced a local man to probation rather than the jail time sought by prosecutors for harassing an elderly neighbor via telephone.

Village Court Judge Tom Schroeder said he grappled with how to punish Michael Fuschino, a repeat offender with a nearly 30-year history of harassing women. Fuschino was sentenced Monday to three years on probation after pleading guilty to aggravated harassment for repeatedly calling an 86-year-old neighbor on the phone, then hanging up.

Fuschino's record as a repeat offender shows jail is "just as ineffective" a deterrent in his case as probation, the judge said. Schroeder went against a request from District Attorney James A. Murphy III for jail time, choosing probation because it requires Fuschino to report to a probation officer for three years. The judge issued a five-year protection order that bars Fuschino from contacting the victim.

Fuschino, 48, was convicted 15 times between 1980 and 2006, including five times for aggravated harassment. He has been fined, spent time in jail and state prison and been on probation. He has also been found guilty of criminal contempt. His behavior ranges from hangup calls, mimicking a woman's voice to have his victim's power shut off and submitting false obituaries to local newspapers.

Fuschino's most recent victim has said he called her over the course of six years, never saying a word when she picked up the phone, and then hanging up. She figured out it was Fuschino when she overheard his father's voice speaking to him during a call.

Fuschino declined to comment while leaving the court.

Acea Schomaker- ANIMAL ABUSER

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE!!

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 159px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/Sa0V0Sd3HwI/AAAAAAAAACs/dBoMYESUFBE/s200/ACEA.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5308923523794149122" />
Neb. deputies say man stuffed cat inside 'bong'

By ERIC OLSON, Associated Press Writer Eric Olson, Associated Press Writer Tue Mar 3, 12:03 am ET

OMAHA, Neb. – A man who tried to cool out his hyper cat by stuffing her into a boxlike homemade bong faces cruelty charges — and catcalls from animal lovers. Lancaster County sheriff's deputies responding to a domestic disturbance call Sunday alleged they saw 20-year-old Acea Schomaker smoking marijuana through a piece of garden hose attached to a duct-taped, plastic glass box in which the cat had been stuffed.

"This cat was just dazed," Sgt. Andy Stebbing said. "She was on the front seat of the cop car, wrapped in a blanket, and never moved all the way to the humane society."

Schomaker told deputies 6-month-old Shadow was hyper and he was trying to calm her down. The contraption she had been stuffed inside was 12 inches by 6 inches. Shadow was timid but in good condition Monday at the Capital Humane Society, executive director Bob Downey said.

"What the human mind doesn't invent, huh?" Downey said.

Schomaker, who was released from jail after paying a $400 fine on the arrest warrant, faces drug and misdemeanor animal cruelty charges. He did not immediately respond to phone messages left Monday seeking comment.

Luzerne County Judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan- Rats who put kids in jail for Money!

THESE TWO RAT BASTARDS TAKE MONEY FOR JAILING KIDS FOR PETTY CRIMES....

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 133px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SZWkmuIJRlI/AAAAAAAAACU/06VLyOaJs70/s200/ratmarkciavarella.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5302325121422804562" />

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 140px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SZWkg9ArEJI/AAAAAAAAACM/u2EjUI9z5FY/s200/ratmichaelconahan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5302325022338781330" />
Pa. judges accused of jailing kids for cash
By MICHAEL RUBINKAM and MARYCLAIRE DALE, Associated Press Writers Michael Rubinkam And Maryclaire Dale, Associated Press Writers Wed Feb 11, 6:16 pm ET

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – For years, the juvenile court system in Wilkes-Barre operated like a conveyor belt: Youngsters were brought before judges without a lawyer, given hearings that lasted only a minute or two, and then sent off to juvenile prison for months for minor offenses.

The explanation, prosecutors say, was corruption on the bench.

In one of the most shocking cases of courtroom graft on record, two Pennsylvania judges have been charged with taking millions of dollars in kickbacks to send teenagers to two privately run youth detention centers.

"I've never encountered, and I don't think that we will in our lifetimes, a case where literally thousands of kids' lives were just tossed aside in order for a couple of judges to make some money," said Marsha Levick, an attorney with the

Philadelphia-based Juvenile Law Center, which is representing hundreds of youths sentenced in Wilkes-Barre.

Prosecutors say Luzerne County Judges Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan took $2.6 million in payoffs to put juvenile offenders in lockups run by PA Child Care LLC and a sister company, Western PA Child Care LLC. The judges were charged on Jan. 26 and removed from the bench by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court shortly afterward.

No company officials have been charged, but the investigation is still going on.

The high court, meanwhile, is looking into whether hundreds or even thousands of sentences should be overturned and the juveniles' records expunged.

Among the offenders were teenagers who were locked up for months for stealing loose change from cars, writing a prank note and possessing drug paraphernalia. Many had never been in trouble before. Some were imprisoned even after probation officers recommended against it.

Many appeared without lawyers, despite the U.S. Supreme Court's landmark 1967 ruling that children have a constitutional right to counsel.

The judges are scheduled to plead guilty to fraud Thursday in federal court. Their plea agreements call for sentences of more than seven years behind bars.

Ciavarella, 58, who presided over Luzerne County's juvenile court for 12 years, acknowledged last week in a letter to his former colleagues, "I have disgraced my judgeship. My actions have destroyed everything I worked to accomplish and I have only myself to blame." Ciavarella, though, has denied he got kickbacks for sending youths to prison.

Conahan, 56, has remained silent about the case.

Many Pennsylvania counties contract with privately run juvenile detention centers, paying them either a fixed overall fee or a certain amount per youth, per day.

In Luzerne County, prosecutors say, Conahan shut down the county-run juvenile prison in 2002 and helped the two companies secure rich contracts worth tens of millions of dollars, at least some of that dependent on how many juveniles were locked up.

One of the contracts — a 20-year agreement with PA Child Care worth an estimated $58 million — was later canceled by the county as exorbitant.

The judges are accused of taking payoffs between 2003 and 2006.

Robert J. Powell co-owned PA Child Care and Western PA Child Care until June. His attorney, Mark Sheppard, said his client was the victim of an extortion scheme.

"Bob Powell never solicited a nickel from these judges and really was a victim of their demands," he said. "These judges made it very plain to Mr. Powell that he was going to be required to pay certain monies."

For years, youth advocacy groups complained that Ciavarella was ridiculously harsh and ran roughshod over youngsters' constitutional rights. Ciavarella sent a quarter of his juvenile defendants to detention centers from 2002 to 2006, compared with a statewide rate of one in 10.

The criminal charges confirmed the advocacy groups' worst suspicions and have called into question all the sentences he pronounced.

Hillary Transue did not have an attorney, nor was she told of her right to one, when she appeared in Ciavarella's courtroom in 2007 for building a MySpace page that lampooned her assistant principal.

Her mother, Laurene Transue, worked for 16 years in the child services department of another county and said she was certain Hillary would get a slap on the wrist. Instead, Ciavarella sentenced her to three months; she got out after a month, with help from a lawyer.

"I felt so disgraced for a while, like, what do people think of me now?" said Hillary, now 17 and a high school senior who plans to become an English teacher.

Laurene Transue said Ciavarella "was playing God. And not only was he doing that, he was getting money for it. He was betraying the trust put in him to do what is best for children."

Kurt Kruger, now 22, had never been in trouble with the law until the day police accused him of acting as a lookout while his friend shoplifted less than $200 worth of DVDs from Wal-Mart. He said he didn't know his friend was going to steal anything.

Kruger pleaded guilty before Ciavarella and spent three days in a company-run juvenile detention center, plus four months at a youth wilderness camp run by a different operator.

"Never in a million years did I think that I would actually get sent away. I was completely destroyed," said Kruger, who later dropped out of school. He said he wants to get his record expunged, earn his high school equivalency diploma and go to college.

"I got a raw deal, and yeah, it's not fair," he said, "but now it's 100 times bigger than me."

Stewart Parnell -Peanut Corp. of America President

Salmonella found at Ga. plant as early as 2006
Owner Stewart Parnell refused to testify at hearing; 9 have now died
msnbc.com staff and news service reports
updated 7:13 p.m. ET, Wed., Feb. 11, 2009

WASHINGTON - See the jar, the congressman challenged Stewart Parnell, holding up a container of the peanut seller's products and asking if he'd dare eat them. Parnell pleaded the Fifth.

The owner of the peanut company at the heart of the massive salmonella recall refused to answer the lawmaker's questions — or any others — Wednesday about the bacteria-tainted products he defiantly told employees to ship to some 50 manufacturers of cookies, crackers and ice cream.

"Turn them loose," Parnell had told his plant manager in an internal e-mail disclosed at the House hearing. The e-mail referred to products that once were deemed contaminated but were cleared in a second test last year.

Summoned by congressional subpoena, the owner of Peanut Corp. of America repeatedly invoked his right not to incriminate himself at the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing on the salmonella outbreak that has sickened some 600 people, may be linked to nine deaths — the latest reported in Ohio on Wednesday — and resulted in one of the largest product recalls of more than 1,900 items.

"Did you or any officials ever place food products into inner state commerce you knew to be contaminated with salmonella?" asked Rep. Bart Stupak, chairman of the House Energy and Commerce subcommittee.

"Mr. Chairman and members of the committee, on advice of my counsel, I respectively decline to answer your questions based on the protections afforded me under the U.S. Constitution," said Parnell.

Moments later, as Parnell sat stiffly, his hands folded in his lap at the witness table, as Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., held up a clear jar of his company's products wrapped in crime-scene tape and asked if he would eat them.

Again, Parnell invoked the Fifth Amendment.

After he repeated the statement several times, lawmakers dismissed him from the hearing.

‘Total systemic breakdown’
Shortly after Parnell's appearance, a lab tester told the panel that the company discovered salmonella at its Blakely, Ga., plant as far back as 2006. Food and Drug Administration officials told lawmakers more federal inspections could have helped prevent the outbreak.

"We appear to have a total systemic breakdown," said Stupak, D-Mich.

Cookies, candy, crackers, granola bars and other products made with contaminated peanuts have been shipped to schools, stores and nursing homes, prompting the massive recall. The government raided the company's Georgia plant on Monday, and Peanut Corp. closed its Plainview, Texas, facility.

A federal criminal investigation is under way.

The House panel released e-mails obtained by its investigators showing Parnell ordered products identified with salmonella to be shipped and quoting his complaints that tests discovering the contaminated food were "costing us huge $$$$$."

In mid-January, after the national outbreak was tied to his company, Parnell told Food and Drug Administration officials that he and his company "desperately at least need to turn the raw peanuts on our floor into money."

In a separate message to his employees, Parnell insisted that the outbreak did not start at his plant, calling that a misunderstanding by the media and public health officials. "No salmonella has been found anywhere else in our products, or in our plants, or in any unopened containers of our product," he said in a Jan. 12 e-mail.

In another exchange, Parnell complained to a worker after they notified him that salmonella had been found in more products.

"I go thru this about once a week," he wrote in a June 2008 e-mail. "I will hold my breath .......... again."

Last year, when a final lab test found salmonella, Parnell expressed concern about the cost and delays in moving his products.

"We need to discuss this," he wrote in an Oct. 6 e-mail to Sammy Lightsey, his plant manager. "The time lapse, beside the cost is costing us huge $$$$$ and causing obviously a huge lapse in time from the time we pick up peanuts until the time we can invoice."

Lightsey also invoked his right not to testify when he appeared alongside Parnell before the subcommittee.

‘I want to see jail time’
Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.) asked victims’ family members what they want to ask the Centers for Disease Control, United States Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration and the states’ health departments.

“I would like to ask why anyone would not want to have mandatory recall. Why do we leave it up to the company?" asked Jeffrey Almer, whose mother, Shirley Mae Almer, died Dec. 21, several months after the outbreak was first known about. The 72-year-old was in a Brainerd, Minn., nursing home recovering from cancer treatment when her daughter served her peanut butter toast.

"Their behavior is criminal, in my opinion. I want to see jail time," said Almer.

Darlene Cowart of JLA USA testing service said the company contacted her in November 2006 to help control salmonella discovered in the plant.

Cowart said she made one visit to the plant at the company's request and pointed out problems with peanut roasting and storage of peanuts that could have led to the salmonella. She testified that Peanut Corp. officials said they believed the salmonella came from organic Chinese peanuts.

An FDA inspection report had placed the earliest presence of salmonella in June 2007, the first of a dozen times the company received private lab results identifying the bacteria in its products.

Cowart said she believed Peanut Corp. stopped using her company for lab tests because it identified salmonella too many times.

The company's internal records show it "was more concerned with its bottom line than the safety of its customers," said committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif.

Charles Deibel, president of Deibel Laboratories Inc., said his company was among those that tested Peanut Corp. products and notified the Georgia plant that salmonella was found. Peanut Corp. sold the products anyway, according to an FDA inspection report.

"What is virtually unheard of is for an entity to disregard those results and place potentially contaminated products into the stream of commerce," Deibel said.

Deibel said he hopes the crisis leads to a greater role for FDA in overseeing food safety and providing more guidance to food makers.

The company, now under FBI investigation, makes only about 1 percent of U.S. peanut products. But its ingredients are used by dozens of other food companies.

The investigation is starting to zero in on the question of who was responsible.

Stupak said he wants know how Peanut Corp. managed to sell allegedly tainted goods month after month without triggering action by state and federal health authorities.

Federal law forbids producing or shipping foods under conditions that could harm consumers' health.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Bernard Madoff - Ponzi Scheme Crook

<img style="float:left; (See photos of Bernie Madoff.)

Meanwhile, the case against her husband, alleged mastermind behind the greatest white collar crime ever, will have to wait another day as US federal prosecutors asked for and received another 30-day extension from a judge in US District Court today.

This is the second continuance in the highly anticipated case against Madoff, the former Nasdaq chairman who has been under house arrest since he was arrested December 11, 2008. The next preliminary hearing date is set for March 13, the US Attorney's office said. Marc Litt is the assistant US attorney handling the case.

The first 30-day extension was called for in mid-January by Manhattan-based US District Attorney's office, then still piecing together the stunning global fraud. The extension agreed to today by Feds and Madoff's lawyers appears to confirm the two sides are working hard on a plea bargaining deal. Litt's office, with no comment, has not tipped their hand either way. A guilty plea would mean Madoff would escape the glare of a trial and be sentenced quickly.

Earlier this week, the Securities and Exchange Commission cut a deal with Madoff, settling a civil case against him where he accepted a permanent asset freeze and agreed to the SEC's complaints against him were "established" and could not be contested. Madoff consented without "admitting or denying the allegations" that he allegedly ran the decades-long fraud under the nose of the SEC.

Many saw this civil case agreement as major signal that negotiations were moving fast on the criminal plea bargaining front, which may include Madoff's desire to keep his family out of trouble. Of course, Wednesday's revelation regarding Mrs. Madoff's financial withdrawals only raises the likelihood that prosecutors will look closely at family members' actions.

To date, Madoff is the only person charged in the case. He is still "free" on $10 million bail and is under house arrest, wearing an electronic ankle bracelet.

Kimberly Trenor & Royce Zeigler II- Baby Killers

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 135px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SX_2ytxGCmI/AAAAAAAAAB8/Q2cvuxZSW3A/s200/BABYGRACE.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296223037950397026" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 160px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SX_2vwEsgWI/AAAAAAAAAB0/rJqzU31gln8/s200/BABYG.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296222987029872994" />
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 163px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SX_2sWa9kdI/AAAAAAAAABs/GXw4uAm3Xws/s200/BABY2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296222928604336594" />
This story turned my stomach and these two rat bastards should be given the death sentence....

BABY GRACE KILLERS

Jurors weep at details of 'Baby Grace' torture
By JUAN A. LOZANO, Associated Press Writer Juan A. Lozano, Associated Press Writer 1 hr 7 mins ago

GALVESTON, Texas – Jurors wept Tuesday watching a woman describe how teaching her 2-year-old daughter proper manners turned into a daylong torture session in which the toddler was beaten with belts, dunked in cold water and flung across a room so violently that she died.

Kimberly Trenor, 20, detailed the abuse in a videotaped statement played for jurors during the first day of her capital murder trial.

Trenor, 20, told investigators in the statement that she hit her daughter with a thick leather belt to teach her to say "please" and "yes, sir."

The little victim was dubbed "Baby Grace" by investigators who worked to identify her decomposed remains after the body was found in a plastic container in October 2007 on a tiny island in Galveston Bay.

Trenor's 25-year-old husband, Royce Zeigler II, is to be tried separately on murder charges. His attorney argues that Trenor is responsible for the child's death.

But Trenor insisted it was her husband who became so enraged when the toddler didn't behave better that he hurled her several times across a room, ultimately fracturing her skull and killing her.

"I said we have to get her to a hospital. (Zeigler) said, 'No we can't. We'll go to jail,'" Trenor said in the videotape, crying. "There came a point where she stopped breathing. He started doing CPR on the floor. He took her ... and handed her over to me. I could just feel her going cold."

At the defense table, Trenor's eyes teared up as she watched the videotape on a large screen. Several jurors wiped away tears.

Riley Ann Sawyers tried to stop her mother and stepfather from beating her to death by reaching out to her mother and saying, "I love you," assistant district attorney Kayla Allen told jurors earlier in the day during her opening statement.

The toddler's pleas didn't stop her mother from brutalizing her, the prosecutor said.

Allen said that on July 25, 2007, Trenor and Zeigler disciplined Riley by whipping her with a belt, pushing her head against a pillow and holding her head under water. She said Zeigler tossed Riley across the room, fracturing her skull. An autopsy concluded the fractures caused her death.

Allen said the adults did nothing to help even as Riley lay dying.

Instead, the couple bought a plastic container, stuffed Riley's body inside and stored it in a shed for a month or two before setting it out to sea, the prosecutor said.

Defense attorney Tommy Stickler Jr. told the jury that Trenor never intended to kill her daughter and that things just "spun out of control."

Stickler portrayed Trenor as a scared 19-year-old girl who had moved to Texas from Ohio to marry a man she met while playing an online game. She said Riley's father, her former boyfriend, had assaulted her and Zeigler was her "knight in shining armor."

"I don't want to use the word accident, but this wasn't something that was intentional," Stickler said.

Trenor could receive an automatic sentence of life in prison without parole if convicted of capital murder. The jury could also convict her of a lesser charge.

Prosecutors declined to seek the death penalty because they didn't think they could prove that either one would be a future danger, as required.

Micah Grimes -Coach

Micah Grimes
It's been a long time since I have posted but Micah Grimes has prompted me to note the following.... WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE RAT!

DALLAS -- A Texas high school girls basketball team on the winning end of a 100-0 game has a case of blowout remorse.

Now officials from The Covenant School say they are trying to do the right thing by seeking a forfeit and apologizing for the margin of victory.

Samantha Peloza grabs a rebound in practice a week after their 100-0 win.
"It is shameful and an embarrassment that this happened," Kyle Queal, the head of the school, said in a statement, adding the forfeit was requested because "a victory without honor is a great loss."

The private Christian school defeated Dallas Academy last week. Covenant was up 59-0 at halftime.

A parent who attended the game told The Associated Press that Covenant continued to make 3-pointers -- even in the fourth quarter. She praised the Covenant players but said spectators and an assistant coach were cheering wildly as their team edged closer to 100 points.

"I think the bad judgment was in the full-court press and the 3-point shots," said Renee Peloza, whose daughter plays for Dallas Academy. "At some point, they should have backed off."

Dallas Academy coach Jeremy Civello told The Dallas Morning News that the game turned into a "layup drill," with the opposing team's guards waiting to steal the ball and drive to the basket. Covenant scored 12 points in the fourth quarter and "finally eased up when they got to 100 with about four minutes left," he said.

Dallas Academy has eight girls on its varsity team and about 20 girls in its high school. It is winless over the last four seasons. The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia.

There is no mercy rule in girls basketball that shortens the game or permits the clock to continue running when scores become lopsided. There is, however, "a golden rule" that should have applied in this contest, said Edd Burleson, the director of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools. Both schools are members of this association, which oversees private school athletics in Texas.

"On a personal note, I told the coach of the losing team how much I admire their girls for continuing to compete against all odds," Burleson said. "They showed much more character than the coach that allowed that score to get out of hand. It's up to the coach to control the outcome."

In the statement on the Covenant Web site, Queal said the game "does not reflect a Christ-like and honorable approach to competition. We humbly apologize for our actions and seek the forgiveness of Dallas Academy, TAPPS and our community."

Covenant coach Micah Grimes did not immediately respond to a message left by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Queal said school officials met with Dallas Academy officials to apologize and praised "each member of the Dallas Academy Varsity Girls Basketball team for their strength, composure and fortitude in a game in which they clearly emerged the winner."

Civello said he appreciated the gesture and has accepted the apology "with no ill feelings."

At a shootaround Thursday, several Dallas Academy players said they were frustrated during the game but felt it was a learning opportunity. They also said they are excited about some of the attention they are receiving from the loss, including an invitation from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban to see an NBA game from his suite.

"Even if you are losing, you might as well keep playing," said Shelby Hyatt, a freshman on the team. "Keep trying, and it's going to be OK."

Peloza said the coach and other parents praised the Dallas Academy girls afterward for limiting Covenant to 12 points in the fourth quarter. She added that neither her daughter nor her teammates seemed to dwell on the loss.

"Somewhere during that game they got caught up in the moment," Peloza said of the Covenant players, fans and coaches. "Our girls just moved on. That's the happy part of the story."

Jocelyn Kirsch & Edward Anderton

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XCa2G71Zt60/SPnKre0A3bI/AAAAAAAAABk/ATIzJwe7Os4/s200/2rats.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5258456888286174642" />

This found on the Associated Press...
These two rats finks deserve more prison time...

College student swindler sentenced to 5 years

PHILADELPHIA – A college student who with her boyfriend stole the identities of friends and neighbors was sentenced Friday to five years in prison and ordered to pay more than $100,000 in restitution.

Jocelyn Kirsch, a former Drexel University student, and then-boyfriend Edward Anderton used the money for expensive salon visits, exotic vacations and fancy dinners.

Federal guidelines called for a prison sentence of 70 months, but U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. I stood up from the bed and I picked Matthew up from the bed and I threw Matthew on the bed real hard. He started crying even harder...and having difficulty breathing...I never meant to hurt him. I am willing to go to counseling so I don't hurt anyone else. I never intentionally meant to hurt my kid. I love my kids."</vbar>

He wrote that he was depressed and that he had done it before - on Wednesday and Thursday of the week before and 15 or 20 days before that.

Thomas continued, "Thursday I was arguing with my wife all day again...I walked into the bedroom and slammed Matthew down onto my bed. I slammed him down pretty hard. If Matthew wasn't in my arms I probably would have punched a hole in the wall."

And police said this wasn't the first time they had to be called to the home. Just a couple months ago, a 4-year-old - one of the seven children at the time the family was taking care of in their two-bedroom apartment - snuck away and actually crossed Hoosick Street at 6 p.m., a busy street at a very busy time.

Cooney said, "Our examination of CPS involvement in this case shows us at this point in time, they've been appropriate and seeing what happens in the household. The problem is, too often we find after the fact that neighbors, people in the family even were aware of the issues, but at times thought it wasn't enough to call into CPS."

Child Protective Services can't comment on the case, but the six other children are now in their care.

Cooney said, "We now hopefully will find a little peace for Matthew but will also possibly ensure the safety of the other children in the household - six more who at one time or other would be in the care of the defendant."

So far, police aren't ruling out charges against the mother. A grand jury could convene as early as Thursday. Adrian Thomas could get 25 years to life if convicted.

MArk Williams-WROW ALBANY NY

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; According to police, they robbed an elderly couple’s purse from the Wal-Mart in Queensbury.

"Inside the purse were credit cards, cell phone, cash and other personal documents," said Lieutenant Shawn Lamouree of the Warren County Sherriff’s Department.

<vbar>With the help of surveillance video, police tracked them to their home on Henry Street in Lake George. They've both been charged with grand larceny.</vbar>

Back at Wal-Mart, people can't believe the event even took place, especially when the victims were using a motorized handicapped shopping cart.

"I'm an elderly person and I'm concerned, but not everyone's like me," said Peter Faroane of Bolton Landing.

"It's a shame that people would steal and stuff. It's a shame that we're in this situation," said Peter Blair of Warrensburg.

"That's just crazy. They're supposed to look out for each other, not rob from each other," said Albrecht.

While the couple’s belongings have been returned, $800 is still missing. And with the notion your purse could be nabbed at any time, Albrecht has some advice.

"Shut it, latch it, keep it on you I would say," Albrecht said.

Marcus Breault- Hudson Falls NY -Baby Killer

Back to catching Rats,,,,Although this rat would qualify for multiple categories including scumbag.
Amazingly enough, this piece of garbage faces only 15 years in prison for killing a 4 month old kid

HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old man is now charged with the murder of a 4-month-old baby, more than two years after the child's death.

Marcus Breault was arrested Thursday for the 2006 murder of his former girlfriend's son, Elijah Ryan. Police said this was a case of jealousy because the father of the baby was Breault's brother.

<vbar>Police had ruled the death undetermined, but the case was re-opened because Breault had apparently talked about killing the baby to family members in recent weeks. They are going after our young children, as young as two years of age, to try to teach them that the homosexual lifestyle is an acceptable lifestyle.
You know, Gays are infiltrating city councils. . . Did you know that the city council of Eureka Springs is now controlled by gays? . .. They are winning elections.
We have the gay-straight alliance coming into our schools. . .
One of my colleagues said We don’t have a gay problem in our community… well you know what, that is so dumb. If you have cancer in your little toe, do you just say that I’m going to forget about it since the rest of you is fine? It spreads! This stuff is deadly and it is spreading. It will destroy our young people and it will destroy this nation.

send her feedback

sallykern@okhouse.gov

http://www.okhouse.gov/Committees/Member.aspx?MemberID=87

NY Governor Elliot Spitzer-Todays Rat

NY governor linked to prostitution ring

Gov. Eliot Spitzer, the crusading politician who built his career on rooting out corruption, apologized Monday after allegations surfaced that he paid thousands of dollars for a high-end call girl. He did not elaborate on the scandal, which drew calls for his resignation.
At a hastily called news conference, Spitzer stood next to his stone-faced wife and bit his lips, telling reporters: "I have acted in a way that violates my obligations to my family."
"I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself," he said. "I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."
As he walked out, reporters shouted: "Will you resign?" He did not answer.
The New York Democrat's involvement in the ring was caught on a federal wiretap as part of an investigation opened in recent months, according to a law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing inquiry.
Four people allegedly connected to the ring, identified in court papers as the Emperors Club VIP, were arrested last week. The ring arranged connections between wealthy men and more than 50 prostitutes in New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Miami, London and Paris, prosecutors said.
According to the law enforcement official, Spitzer is the person identified in legal papers as "Client 9," who paid to bring the prostitute named "Kristen" from New York to Washington for a four-hour tryst at a hotel on Feb. 13.
The court papers gave this account of the encounter:
A defendant, Temeka Rachelle Lewis, confirmed that Client 9 would be "paying for everything — train tickets, cab fare from the hotel and back, mini bar or room service, travel time, and hotel."
The client paid $4,300 in cash to the service, with some being used for the encounter and the rest apparently to be used for credit. When discussing how the payments would be arranged, Client 9 told Lewis: "Yup, same as in the past, no question about it," suggesting it was a routine exchange.
The prostitute, who authorities described as a "petite, pretty brunette, 5-feet-5 inches, and 105 pounds," met the client in Room 871 at about 10 p.m.
In a conversation with the booking agent, Kristen said that she liked the client and that she did not think he was difficult.
The agent said she had been told the client "would ask you to do things that ... you might not think were safe ... very basic things," according to the papers, but that Kristen responded by saying, "I have a way of dealing with that ... I'd be, like, listen dude, you really want the sex?"
Spitzer has not been charged, and prosecutors did not comment on the case. The four defendants charged in the case last week were charged with violating the federal Mann Act, a 1910 law that outlaws traveling across state lines for prostitution.
The scandal was first reported on The New York Times' Web site.
Spitzer spoke about an hour and a half later. Stunned lawmakers gathered around televisions at the state Capitol in Albany to watch, and a media mob gathered outside the office of Democratic Lt. Gov. David Paterson, who would become governor if Spitzer were to resign. It took opponents only minutes to call for his resignation.
"Today's news that Eliot Spitzer was likely involved with a prostitution ring and his refusal to deny it leads to one inescapable conclusion: He has disgraced his office and the entire state of New York," said Assembly Republican leader James Tedisco. "He should resign his office immediately."
Spitzer, 48, built his political reputation on rooting out corruption, including several headline-making battles with Wall Street while serving as attorney general. He stormed into the governor's office in 2006 with a historic share of the vote, vowing to continue his no-nonsense approach to fixing one of the nation's worst governments.
Time magazine had named him "Crusader of the Year" when he was attorney general and the tabloids proclaimed him "Eliot Ness."
But his term as governor has been marred by problems, including an unpopular plan to grant driver's licenses to illegal immigrants and a plot by his aides to smear Spitzer's main Republican nemesis.
Spitzer had been expected to testify to the state Public Integrity Commission he had created to answer for his role in the scandal, in which his aides were accused of misusing state police to compile travel records to embarrass Senate Republican leader Joseph Bruno.
Bruno wouldn't comment when asked what Spitzer should do.
"I feel very badly for the governor's wife, for his children," Bruno said. "The important thing for the people of New York state is that people in office do the right thing."
Spitzer, who has three teenage daughters, had served two terms as attorney general where he pursued criminal and civil cases and cracked down on misconduct and conflicts of interests on Wall Street and in corporate America. He had previously been a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, handling organized crime and white-collar crime cases.
His cases as state attorney general included a few criminal prosecutions of prostitution rings and into tourism involving prostitutes.
In 2004, he was part of an investigation of an escort service in New York City that resulted in the arrest of 18 people on charges of promoting prostitution and related charges.
___
Associated Press Writer Mike Gormley contributed to this report from Albany, N.Y.

Republican Steve King -Iowa= todays rat

FEAR MONGERING AT IT'S FINEST..

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, speaking to a local Iowa radio station, said that terrorists would dance in the streets if Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, is elected president — precisely because of not only Obama’s position on withdrawing US troops from Iraq, but because Obama’s middle name is “Hussein,” his father’s Muslim roots, and his appearance — or “optics,” as King put it.
“I don’t want to disparage anyone because of their, their race, their ethnicity, their name - whatever their religion their father, father might have been,” King said just before doing just that.
“I’ll just say this that when you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States — and I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam?
“And I will tell you that, if he is elected president, then the, the radical Islamists, the, the al-Qaida, and the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11….
“It does matter, his middle name does matter. It matters because they read a meaning into that in the rest of the world, it has a special meaning to them. They will be dancing in the streets because of his middle name. They will be dancing in the streets because of who his father was and because of his posture that says: Pull out of the Middle East and pull out of this conflict.
So there are implications that have to do with who he is and the position that he’s taken. If he were strong on national defense and said ‘I’m going to go over there and we’re going to fight and we’re going to win, we’ll come home with a victory,’ that’s different. But that’s not what he said. They will be dancing in the streets if he’s elected president. That has a chilling aspect on how difficult it will be to ever win this Global War on Terror.”

Sirius Liberal Talk Show Host-Lynn Samuels

Todays Rat- Lynn Samuels

Sirius radio talk show host Lynn Samuels who is on Liberal Talk 146 is on a campaign against Barack Obama. In that 17 minute span, I try to listen to talk radio. The area that I live in has been hijacked and corporatized to the point that all the only thing that can be heard is Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Rielly..and the local wannabee's..

It is a tough thing to stomack on a daily basis, and lucky for me I only have to put up with this for 17 minutes... Usually after 2 minutes I am sick to my stomach from listening to this ILK...Today takes the cake..

Sean Hannity had hijacked the music of the Allman Brothers Band, and was using "Ramblin Man" in his show...I have been an Allman Brothers fan for over 30 years...Let me say this, Allman Brothers fans are not listening to Sean Hannity... For Hannity to infuse the music of the allman Brothers into his show is a very lame attempt to give the impression that a broad spectrum of Americans listen to and subscribe to Hannity's Co-Opting of "FREEDOM"

Further more, I would ascertain that not a single member of The Allman Brothers would even align themselves with Hannity's self righteous views on America...let alone ANY of their fans...

Fuck you Sean Hannity! and stop using the music of The Allman Brothers on your show...

Kenneth Whitehouse,

60, 12 Waldron Lane Saratoga Springs NY
A RAT discovered in Saratoga Springs New York as indicated by the Saratogian newspaper.
