SARATOGA SPRINGS — A city woman was accused of abusing her pets after animal control officers, acting on an anonymous tip, found four ill, malnourished dogs at her home on Spa Circle, police say.
Amy E. Kraus, 41, was charged Tuesday with a misdemeanor related to torturing or injuring animals, as well as violations for failing to vaccinate and license the dogs.
Saratoga Springs Police Lt. John Catone said officers found “deplorable living conditions and multiple animals that appeared to be malnourished and in distress.”
Catone said they had open sores and skin disorders.
